The UK asks students to specialize early

The one-year master's can still have a high total price

University halls are common for new students, while private student buildings and shared houses dominate later years. Contract lengths deserve attention because accommodation agreements can extend beyond teaching weeks.

Student visa conditions need to be read literally
The Student visa normally requires sponsorship by a licensed education provider and a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies, together with the required financial and identity evidence.
Many full-time degree-level students at higher education providers with a track record of compliance can work up to 20 hours a week in term time and full time in vacations, but the exact visa condition should be checked. Work rights are useful, but they should not be assumed from the fact that someone is enrolled at a university.
Graduate visa timing now changes the value of the post-study window
