This makes it easier to verify that every component exists in the supplier system and to identify whom to call later. Dynamic packaging is convenient at checkout, but good records keep its multiple underlying reservations understandable during the trip.
Save the supplier references for each component as soon as the booking is complete. If the trip changes, those references help identify who controls the flight, hotel or transfer and whether the organizer or supplier must act. The package should be viewed as one itinerary for planning purposes but as several contracts for practical servicing unless the terms clearly say otherwise.
